Change admin email request

    Hello everybody,

    I have received an email of [email protected] (when I have my website on ww.wp.xz.cn) like this:

    “Howdy harriup100,

    You recently requested to have the administration email address on
    your site changed.

    If this is correct, please click on the following link to change it:
    ________________(link to click)____________________________________
    You can safely ignore and delete this email if you do not want to
    take this action.”

    The problem is that I’m the only administrator of the website and I haven’t requested anything. Can someone tell me what does this mean?

    Are you sure the mail came from wordpress.com? If so, do as suggested and ignore and delete. Do not follow the link.

    What probably happened is someone with a wordpress.com site tried to change their admin email, but entered their address incorrectly, entering yours instead. A similar message goes to both the old and new addresses, so whoever made the error will likely discover their error and try again, hopefully with the correct address this time.
