Sorting by publication date goes by the publication date entered for the book, not the date it’s added in WordPress. Have you entered the publication date for the books?

I thought it was the date it’s added in WordPress. Ok, if i use this field it works.
Is there any other way to not use the pubblication date field and make sure that the last book entered is visible at the top of the list? I tried to use the plugin “Intuitive Custom Post Order” but it doesn’t work. Otherwise I enter the publication date.
Thanks!!
Vanessa
The only other way would be to manually select the books and then use a custom sort. But doing this would require you to modify the book grid every time you add a book.
I will consider adding a “sort by date entered into WordPress” option.
Out of curiosity, can you explain why you would like your books sorted in this manner? Understanding how people use Mooberry Book Manager helps me improve it and add helpful features.

Sure!
I created this site for a library. They currently have 4 categories of books that they want to highlight for the client and one of them is “new”. Obviously, the book that is inserted today in this category is more “new” than the one inserted yesterday and they want it to appear first (like when you put the books on the shelves and the latest put it up and not down). By inserting the insertion date into wordpress on the publication date, as we have seen yesterday, it works perfectly, but in the book tab that is just indicating a date that is incorrect, I should go to modify the view through the code page so as not to show it.
Thank you so much!
Vanessa
Thanks! That’s helpful. I will look to add this sorting ability in an upcoming version.
