I tried adding images in those locations but i still had the same button with my image drastically shrunk down inside the button?

Did you try increasing the button height and width settings to match your image?

Yes, actually the container size was larger than my images and you could barely seem them. Are you supposed to remove the text and stuff? My button says what I want it to say.

Are you able to provide a link to a “clean” page I can view, also having a close button works in the same way as an open button.
