    Hi Raul,

This topic is marked as resolved. I have the latest version of Fast Velocity Minify, but can’t see anywhere to change the cache directory.

I did it manually in the options table, but obviously there’s code which changes it back.

Just wondering if maybe there is something I’m missing?

Your plugin works a treat. Took my GTmetrix score from 96/91 to 100/97. If I can change the cache directory I can make that Yslow score 98 or maybe even 99. Yes, this is important to me.

    Kind Regards
    John

    Hi Raul,

Forgot to mention, I’d like to have the cache directory on a different domain.

Ji, if the goal is to use another domain, you can use the cdn option eithiut bothering with the path.

Note you shoul not use defer for insights option, when using a cdn. Look at the chrome console log for errors…

As for the path, I’ll add some option to change paths on the next version. Thanks for the insights.

    Hi Raul,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I wasn’t aware of not combining CDN with defer for Insights. I already had both enabled, so I checked Chrome Console, and there no errors, but I’ll take your advice and disable defer.

Are you saying that if I put a path to the directory on the other domain in the CDN settings, that will be used for the cache?

    Kind Regards

    Sorry for the late reply.

The google chrome console will show you the error if you put the log warning level into notice, but I’m talking about only when you use a cdn for loading js and css files.

Yes, you can use whatever.cdn.com/some/directory/and/subdirectory and it will fetch it from there. It doesn’t need to be a domain.

Note that the cdn option has been fixed on v2.2.2 and it wasn’t working properly the previous version.

    Thanks.
