Hi, I”m the website owner of my site and am interested in upgrading to premium.

But when I click “Get Premium” I end up on the Cleantalk page with my freelance developer’s account. I don’t want to use his account to enter my credit card info to upgrade to your premium; I need my own account.

But when I try to create my own account and type in my website, it says that this website is already connected to another user/account (my freelance dev’s account).

    So, how to do?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question.

You can delete or rename the current website name on developer’s account or create an account with any other website name (even not existing) and use its key. You can always rename service name in CleanTalk Dashboard:

    https://cleantalk.org/help/change-service-url

If you have more questions please create a ticket in our private Ticket System:

    https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open

This way we will know your CleanTalk profile and could check everything that is required.

WordPess.org Support Forum is for plugins only.

    Sorry for the inconveniences.

    Your CleanTalk Control Panel: [ https://cleantalk.org/my/ ].

    Best regards.

    Hi, I’m sorry but I don’t understand.

“You can delete or rename the current website name on developer’s account”

Do you mean I must access the panel of my freelance developer?
Or, do you mean I must open my own developer account?
Or, do you mean I’m a developer and I can delete or rename the current website?

On your link “Move Cleantalk to another website” it seems to be the opposite of my problem. I need to keep the *same website* but to *another developer*

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I mean CleanTalk account and “I’m a developer and I can delete or rename the current website”. If you don’t have access to this account could you ask your developer to rename/delete the website from his CleanTalk account? You can always create a new account with any other website name. It will not affect the protection, it’s just visual profile name.

The service can not have two identical websites (profiles) names, one needs to be deleted or renamed.

    Best regards

Okay, I was already able to find a solution.

I created my own account, and I added my website. And I paid for premium, and it works now.

I did not have to contact my freelance developer to delete it from his account.

So, it works; but I’m confused… because you said “The service can not have two identical websites (profiles) names, one needs to be deleted or renamed.” Is something wrong from my end?

It’s enough to use one or more different symbols. For example, website.domain and http://www.website.domain will be the different names.

To use the paid service don’t forget to enter its key to the plugin’s settings.

    Best regards
