    Hi there!

I migrated my blog from one site to another, and when I did so it brought along all of the photos into my media library. However, the dates are now all the month that I did the migration, instead of the date the photo was added/created.

Would it be possible to be able to modify the added date–or add a new column for a created date that could either come from EXIF data or be able to be modified?

    Thanks in advance!
    Susan

Thanks for your question, which first came up quite a while ago:

    Modify upload date?

As I outlined in that topic I don’t like modifying fields that WordPress might use in a variety of ways. You wrote “ add a new column for a created date…” Here’s a topic along those lines:

    Schedule attachment

For your application you can change the Data Source in step 5. Change the Data Source dropdown to “–Template (see below) –” and then enter something like [+exif:DateTimeOriginal+] or whatever element you want to use as the source.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have problems or further questions regarding the solutions derived from the earlier topics. I can give you whatever specific help you need to complete your application. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
