I need to change the dropbox account for my site. I don’t see how to do that in settings. I logged in to my new dropbox and while it was open I clicked the: “Ensure you are logged into the correct account before continuing. After you have saved your settings (by clicking ‘Save Changes’ below), then come back here once and click this link to complete authentication with Dropbox.” link but when I click the link it says: Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.

I tried making a backup and it is not saving to my new dropbox account.

oh I see this: No Dropbox Code found, will try to get one now – need to reauthenticate this site with Dropbox (if this fails, then you can also try wiping your settings from the Expert Settings section) (Jul 30 08:44:39)

Actually, I don’t know what that means. I understand I need to reauthenticate the site but I don’t know how to do that.

I closed D4ropbox and apparently there was a backup created by Updraft today and it was saved on the server taking up disk space making my site too large.

I see this error message but I don’t know what to do to fix the issue. Please advise.

    Hi,

You can wipe out settings if you go to UpdraftPlus “Advance Tools” tab > “Wipe Settings”. That will reset all settings to default and remove your current Dropbox account.

This is great to know. I have 2 different sites I want to go to different dropbox accounts. I have a different Dropbox account on my computer than the one I want this site to go to. Last time I used a browser that didn’t have the old dropbox and then just logged into the new dropbox. I’m not clear how to set up this new dropbox account without having to change the settings on my computer. Also, even though it seemed as though it finally connected to the new dropbox account as there was a backup in the new dropbox account, when I logged out of dropbox in that same browser, the next day, a backup was made by Updraft to my hosting server and I ran out of disk space quickly. Not sure how that even happened.

    I appreciate the support.

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus would actually have to create the backups first on your server and then sends the backups to your remote storage. If the backup fails to complete, UpdraftPlus would keep it on your server. Also, if you want to save the backups only on your remote storage, you will need enable the “delete local backup” option. It can be found in the UpdraftPlus > Settings tab > Show expert options.
