Hi;
As per the sticky post in the support form I can’t offer support for finding original strings or the settings you need to enter to translate a specific piece of text in a plugin or theme you’re using.
You’ll need to find the original string in the plugin or theme code. You can check the FAQ (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/say-what/faq/) or this article (http://plugins.leewillis.co.uk/doc_post/replacing-wordpress-strings-context/) for some examples of what you’re looking for.
Alternatively, the Pro version of the plugin provides a String Discovery mode which means you can search for strings on your site via autocomplete suggestions: https://plugins.leewillis.co.uk/downloads/say-what-pro/
Thanks for the reply, I will use the documentation mentioned. But isn’t ‘Howdy’ a global thing used across WP. Even this support page has Howdy in the top right hand side. So my doubt is wont it be the same string that will be used in the plugin also. Can you help me out.
Thanks once again
Hi
I’m following exactly what your documentation says. My original string, Text domain and Replacement string are correct, just have a doubt regarding the Text content (but I understand as per your documentation it may be omitted also). I have done this but nothing changes, can you help me out please.
Thanks.
