    Hello everyone,

could you please help me? We have an issue on our website and do not know how to fix it. We got message from our member who wrote us this email:

    Good morning,

I’m having issues to login. I made the password and it is incorrect. I’m clicking on the link to make a new password and the link is leading me to the login page again. Not to a new password page. I need a new password.

In meanwhile the member managed to log in (he remembered his old password) but the issue still persists. I created a test account and having the same issue as him. I clicked on “Forgot Password”, normally received email with the link which should normally leading me to the page where I could change the password. But the link is leading me to login page instead of change password page.

    Could you please advise?

    Hello,

As per your request you are being redirected to the login page instead of change password page, and if so then you can check the following troubleshooting steps to resolve your issue:

    1. Kindly check that you are using the latest version of ARMember Lite(v4.041)

    2. Kindly confirm that you have mapped the change password page properly at the ARMember Lite -> General Settings -> Page Setup, and here if you have set the page correctly then it will be redirected properly.

    3. You can also check the “Change Password” page is accessible to everyone and is not restricted, if the page is restricted then it may happen that it is redirecting to the login page.

    4. Kindly check at the login page that you have not added the change password form shortcode, if yes then you can remove the shortcode from the loin page so that the members can be redirected properly.

Please check accordingly and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

    Hello,
i have problem with my plugin ArMember. My site is optometristid.ee and problem is in forgot password section. I disabled half of the plugins (~15 pcs), including the Yoast plugin, but nothing changed, the submit button still doesn’t work.

Basically everything works, i enter my username, a message comes with a link, i click on the link and enter new passwords, but the submit button doesn’t take me further, even though the passwords in both fields are the same, the submit button still doesn’t work.

Here you can see, how looks Enter New Password:

    Hello,
I have a similar problem, so I’ll allow myself to write here.
I don’t really understand how this is supposed to work, and there’s no way to change this form in the plugin.
Example: I click “forgot password”, I received a link to change my password. And this is where the problem begins, the first item in the form is “enter current password”? If I forgot it, then I don’t know it, so what should I do?

thanks in advance for your help
    Marek

    Hello dimplemodi

    1. i have latest version of plugin
    2. everything is mapt correctly
    3. page accessible is for everyone, besides my user is an administrator, so that can’t be a problem
    4. i do’nt have added the change password form shortcode

PS! I turned off the ArMember login style:
ArMember -> General Settings -> Hide wp-login.php page
so now members log in through the WordPress style, and now changing the password started working correctly!

Any other advice ? … if you want, i can make for you additional user access, so you can check my ArMember preferences.

    Best regards ahti

    Hello Marek,

I had the same situation and I noticed that when I’m logged in, it asks for the old password, but if I’ve forgotten the password and I haven’t logged in, it doesn’t ask for the old password, try to see if your module works that way.

Additionally, you need to enable the forgot password section on the login window, see image below.
