Change permalink structure for different categories

Hi,

Here’s the problem I’m encountering.. Basically I have several categories created such as below:
– General (/2010/04/10/post-title-1)
– Events
– Directory

Right now, my permalink structure is set as “/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/”

How can I achieve something like below?
– General (/2010/04/10/post-title-1)
– Events (events/post-id/event-title-1)
– Directory (listings/listing-id/listing-title-1)

I’ve tried this plugin ‘http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/advanced-permalinks/’, but it doesn’t have the capability the edit the post slug after it has been created, instead it only redirects me back to editing that particular category permalink structure.

Has anyone got a better working solution? Would gladly appreciate any help.
