Hi there @ov3rfly,
I can verify that as of today, we still support PHP 7.4 for MailPoet as the minimum PHP requirement.
That said, it is the minimum requirement because it will likely be dropped from support soon. Always when running the minimum, the goal is to upgrade as soon as possible to a higher version so that you are not caught unawares when the minimum changes.
For this reason, our support staff will always highlight this and recommend upgrading when they spot a customer using the minimum required version in order to proactively keep your site healthy.
In addition, it’s rare but not impossible for MailPoet in particular to run into PHP memory allotment issues, especially for very large accounts with huge subscriber lists. For sites like these, proactively upgrading to a higher PHP version – and continuing to upgrade as new versions are released – can help keep everything running smoothly and resolve memory-related sending issues, so again, we might recommend upgrading as part of a solutions package to certain issues.
However, if you are running 7.4, that is the published minimum version, and we would continue to provide support for issues on systems running that version.
