Change Plugin Name and Slug

    Hi Team,

    The company recently rebranded (to Blazeo) and we have plugin for our services that is already installed on many websites of our client.

    We are looking to update the name and page slug of the WP Plugin.

    Please guide us:

    How to do that?

    What could be the potential cons of doing that?

    We also want to edit the email addresses of the Contributors & Developers and one more.

    The plugin slug cannot be changed. This is also where all plugin users get their updates – it’s just one of many reasons why it doesn’t work.

    However, you can change the name of the plugin (i.e. what you see at the top of the plugin page in large and in all plugin lists). Simply enter it in the readme.txt and central PHP file and of course also in your plugin in all necessary places.
