    Hello,

Let’s start from the beginning… Yesterday one of our customers didn’t get a confirmation email of successful payment, so he contacted us and sent a screenshot from his bank mobile app to prove that the payment was made.

In that screenshot, we saw that in the receiver section it said:
SHOP NAME – ZIP CODE – CITY

We don’t want our customers to see such a thing as our city and zip code, so we would like to know how we can change that? For example, only show SHOP NAME – WEBSITE

  • Hello there,

Sorry to hear about what happened.

To change the bank statement descriptor, open your Stripe settings (WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe > Manage > Settings).

    Edit your Customer bank statement:

    I hope this provides clarity.

    Hello,

Thank you for the fast reply.

We tried to purchase our product and see how the transaction is named. For us it was:
SHOP NAME – PHONE NUMBER – COUNTRY ISO CODE

Then we tried to change your suggested Customer bank statement and entered only SHOP NAME

Sadly after 2nd test purchase, it remained the same as it was:
SHOP NAME – PHONE NUMBER – COUNTRY ISO CODE

    Hi there,

Thank you for trying the suggestion. I did a test on my site by updating the Customer bank statement and did a test purchase, the updated bank statement information reflected in the Stripe payment.

Could you go back to that settings page and see if the updated Customer bank statement was saved at all? Please try to save it again in case it wasn’t.

Let us know how it goes. We’re here to help further.
