Hey there, you certainly can. Here are the steps:
- Deactivate and delete the plugin
- Delete the Pages that the plugin created (unless you customized them and want to keep them)
- Re-install the plugin and it’ll ask again for your credentials. Put in the new ones and sync your products.
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried what you suggested, however the original store was still connected. When I reinstalled the plugin, the store was as is. Is it possible that after deactivating and deleting the plugin, that the database tables remain?
No, those should get deleted when when plugin is removed. Did you use new credentials when you logged in, or the same ones as before?
No, I was never asked for new credentials. That is how I knew the database tables were not deleted. Here is what I did and the results:
1. Deactivate the plugin
2. Delete the plugin
3. Remove all pages created by the plugin
4. Reinstall the plugin.
5. No prompt to add new credentials due to the old data remaining.
Sorry for the long delay on this, the holidays got me. 🙂
The only reason it wouldn’t ask again for your credentials is if they were still in the database.
If you’re able, open it up and look in the options table for these options:
bigcommerce_access_token
bigcommerce_client_id
bigcommerce_store_url
bigcommerce_store_id
If you find any, simply delete them and BC will ask to reconnect.
Thanks for your reply. I should have replied earlier that I found a solution. One of your last updates opened up the access to api credentials in the settings. That solved my problem. Feel free to close this. Also, we are loving this headless eCommerce solution. We are currently using it in three projects and plan to continue to use it as our eCommerce solution.
Rock on! I’m super glad to hear that. Could I quote you in public?
