Hi. I recently translated your theme to Spanish (es_AR) with Poedit and uploaded the zip file (including my translation) to my website.

However i can’t manage to change the language. I’ve been through every possible option menu and I still can’t find how to change it. I mean, the translation file is there but i’m not sure on how to “activate” it.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    BTW: awesome theme!

    Thanks for using Tracks!

There are a couple things to check. First, there is a dropdown option at the bottom of the General Settings page (screenshot). Make sure this is set to the correct language.

If that is already set, check once more that the es_AR.po and es_AR.mo files are in the Tracks languages folder on your server.

If none of this works, then the most likely issue is the filenames. Poedit has a lot more dialects than WordPress and the “es_AR” filenames may not be supported. I will have to look into this more, but I would try renaming them es_ES.po and es_ES.mo.

Thanks! The problem had to do with the filenames. es_AR is not supported by WordPress. Changing the names to “es_ES” solved it.

    Thanks a lot!

Great, glad it’s working now 🙂
