Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
TablePress stores the table data as a JSON-encoded string in the wp_posts database table.
Due to the JSON format, you’ll have to search/replace with the appropriate escaping of special characters. In particular, in JSON, / are stored as \/. So, when doing search/replace in the mySQL database, please search for
http:\/\/okabletech-atfunding.org\/content\/
and replace with
https:\/\/www.okabletech.org\/resources\/at-funding-guide\/
and so on.
Regards,
Tobias
WOW! Thank you so much, Tobias!
You are so quick and… very clear. I can’t thank you enought BUT… I will send you a donation and in addition to this comment, I’ll write a review on the plugin page, too.
We could not DO without TablePress!
BEST regards,
Halley
Oh, I forgot to click “Reply and mark as resolved”!
Hi,
no problem, you are very welcome! 🙂 Good to hear that this helped!
Best wishes,
Tobias
Hi again,
I spoke too soon although I really do appreciate your quick response. I ran the “search and replace” using the plugin “Better Search and Replace” and it didn’t find any tables to change.
I uploaded two screenshots to Imgur (link below) to show the “Better Search and Replace” set up and the “Dry Run” notes at the top and then a 2nd screenshot to show the “source” of the links I want to change. Could the fact the TablePress tables are housed within an accordion be causing a problem?
For Tobias
My questions may be ridiculous… I’m just hoping to find a fix.
Again, thank you, Tobias
Hi,
you will of course have to adjust the URLs in the search and replace values. In your second screenshot, the domain in the URL is fundingguide.okstate.edu, but that’s not what you were searching for, according to the search term in the first screenshot.
Regards,
Tobias
OH! Tobias, you are EXACTLY correct… I’m so sorry to take more of your time than needed. We may be dealing with two wrong “old” paths but… I’m re-running the Broken Link Checker to make sure.
After getting this last email from you, I re-ran the “Better Search and Replace” plugin with the fundingguide path and it found 317 links to change. They work now! That’s AWESOME… I think there are still some to go so I’m running the Link Checker again and I’ll go back at it.
You have taught me much today, Tobias! Thank you!
