Change URL of main header image?

    Hi
    Is it possible to change the URL of main header image?
    I’m using WP Twenty Seventeen and have added this Plugin but I can’t see an option to add a URL in
    Appearance>Customize>Header Image

    Hi, @coffee_king. How are you doing?

    Unfortunately that’s not possible. FIFU was done to work with “featured images” of posts/pages/Custom Post Types.

    Moreover I don’t see advantages in use an external image for logo. It’s only 1 image, right? So it won’t cause you storage problems.

    Any other thoughts of plugins or ways around it?

    I don’t know any plugin for that, but an alternative is to change the theme code. You should find the code line responsible for calling the logo image. And then change the image tag to always use your URL for src attribute.

    The problem is you will lose the change always you update the theme.

    Could it not be somehow added into the Additional CSS section?

    CSS is for style. You need to change the HTML code.

    If you want to do that but don’t know what code line you should change the best way is to contact the theme developer.
