Change Username Option?

    Hi,
    Is it possible to allow users to change their own username from profile edit?

    They have the ability to change their password and email but not their username.

    Please advise.

    Hi @onefinaleffort,

    Wordpress doesn’t allow changing usernames. It is not possible due to WordPress restrictions.

    That’s not true. Buddy Press allowed it. I switched to Ultimate Member and the option is gone. Please advise. Thank you.

    I have the same question please..
    Can you recomend any hook to allow this change?

    Or, could be possible use “Nickname” instead of First and Second name? If the user wont fill First and Second name, it shows Username instead. It would be good to have possibility to use the Nickname – it would be easily changeable.
