changes aren't saved

Hey
I am having an issue which is nothing from the settings I change are changed. for example I changed the site title and it wasn’t change. I try to add a tracking code and it doesn’t change. everything shows that it’s saved but when I go to the site I see no changes and I cleared the cache and tried different bowers.
what’s wrong?

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?
Note: You do not need to install a caching plugin at this point just to clear a cache you don’t have. If you don’t have a caching plugin or a way to clear a server-level cache, just say so. π
Yea I am. I am using Siteground hosting and they have their own caching plugin pre-installed with WordPress. I tried to purge the cache and also didn’t work
Where are you adding this tracking code?
Here is a screenshot http://snag.gy/z6tH8.jpg
That’s not a normal part of WordPress. What plugin is that?
It’s not a plugin, James. It’s an option with the theme Techknowledgic is using. If you look at the active browser tab in the screenshot, you’ll see “Aruna Options.” In addition, Techknowledgic was referring to the browser cache, not a plugin cache.
Techknowledgic, I’ve been having trouble with the caching problem myself. It started after the last update, which was full of bugs. For right now, all you can do is wait for things to catch up.

Thanks for catching that!
Techknowledgic, if hitting that Purge SG Cache button made no different, I recommend that you go to the theme’s official support channel. In order to be good stewards of the WordPress community, and encourage innovation and progress, we feel it’s important to direct people to those official locations.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why your commercial theme is not working properly. This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

Yes, and he’s using SiteGround, which has its own built-in caching. Note the “Purge SG Cache” button in the admin bar in the same screenshot. That’s why I mentioned plugin or server-level caching in my first reply. It’s a common source of “I don’t see my changes” problems.
It started after the last update, which was full of bugs.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the last update, nor is it “full of bugs.”
It would be great if you didn’t pin up the latest version of WordPress as the source of everyone’s problems. It distracts everyone from finding a solution to whatever their real issue is.
Thanks for ur replies!
But I believe that the issue isn’t only related to the theme but also to WordPress because also when I try to change some basic WordPress settings like the site title by going to settings > general also it doesn’t work that’s why I am referring to the official WordPress forums in addition to Themeforest for other issues I am facing
Thanks!
And you still see no changes after hitting the “Purge SG Cache” button *and* clearing your browser’s cache?
There’s nothing in WordPress core that controls caching, so it would not have been the recent update.
No changes.
Also I found the seller reply about the issue I am having in the menu and this was his reply
Hello, this issue is related to WordPress or your host, Iβm not using anything custom in the theme, just native WordPress functions, you can try installing the theme on localhost or any other host and youβll see that it will work.
how can that be done?
What is he talking about? The “Aruna Options” is totally 100% custom, that’s not part of WordPress.
I really hate it when people who *sell* a product just pawn support off on the volunteers who support a free product. Remind me never to buy themes from that guy.
Ok, rant aside, sorry about that. If you follow his suggestion and do a local installation, this is the best way: https://github.com/Varying-Vagrant-Vagrants/VVV It’s complicated, but not as complicated as the other ways.
Alternatively, can you make a second WordPress installation on the server at a subdomain like test.lolshq.com? That might be easier. You won’t be able to rule-out if it’s a problem with SG’s cache (you’ll need to test locally for that), but you will be able to rule-out if it’s a problem with your current installation.
