• Let’s say I schedule a post for 10 am. Everything on the post is set-up. I press “Schedule”. It goes through its motions, and then it schedules, but it has changed the time to several hours later, in my case at 3 pm.

I can go to the articles dashboard, and click on the “scheduled”, and then do a “quick edit” and change the times to 10 am. This has never happened before and only started after the WordPress Update on November 14, 2019.

I also had a problem last night with two articles I published that showed up on the front page, but when clicked went to a 404. My hosting company says it more than likely is a plug-in and the new WordPress update.

Any thoughts or fixes for the changing of date? Thanks

This sounds like a timezone offset from GMT issue because of how WP now manages timezones. See https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/read-this-first-wordpress-5-3-master-list/ and search for the section that begins with “Dates or times being incorrect” for a complete explanation.

I can see what the change is, however it offers no fixes other than turn everything off, revert your site back to a basic website and go one by one. So am I just supposed to lose revenue for days now trying to figure out what WordPress screwed up???

If you install and activate the Health Check plugin and activate it’s troubleshooting mode, the changing of themes and deactivating plugins will affect your view only. Other site visitors will experience the site as it is now. Just remember to exit troubleshooting mode when you are finished investigating. Failure to do so has needlessly confused several others.
