• Hello

I am trying to change the admin email, however, when I try to change the email, it says it will send me an email to the new email address to verify but i do not receive this email.

I have tried with different emails and none of them received this email.

How can I confirm the change of the admin email?

Did your WP email work before?

You can change it in the database directly.

There are two places it should be changed. The users table (find the admin user) and the options table.

Chances are your server can’t send out email though so changing the email address at the database level won’t do much of anything.

    Hope this helps.

what do you mean by did the email address work before? Yes it lets me login into the control panel for the website, but i do not receive emails regarding inquiries and etc from the website

“Chances are your server can’t send out email through so changing the email address at the database level won’t do much of anything.” what do you mean by this? –

I wanted to change it so that contact submissions go to the right email address and the right people have all the access on word press.

There are currently two user profiles? The developer’s email is the one which is the admin email in the general settings – If I delete this user would it make the other users email address the admin in the general settings?

If I delete the developer’s user it won’t affect the design of the website?

I don’t get what you mean by the options table either – where do i find this?

    Thanks

Sorry, this – I am not looking to send emails through WordPress – I just want to change the admin email so that i receive emails and have access to all the pages on the site

Wordpress has to be able to send an email in order for you to receive the message with the confirmation link. Unfortunately, if you do not have access to the old email address but only the new email address this could present some problems. I would suggest cancelling the change and then changing the settings through the database as I mentioned in my post about a week ago.
