    Hi folks,

How can I change my Avatar picture so it automatically shows on my blog posts?

I have downloaded and activated the following two Avatar plugins (Don’t know which none is better):

    1. WP User Avatar, version 1.6.7, and
    2. Simple Local Avatars, version 2.0.

Now, how can I use either one to change my Avatars? I’d appreciate your help.

    Hi WPyogi,

Thanks for the link. Following the instructions in it, I checked the Avatar section on the Discussion Settings panel.

I note that “Show Avatars” and “G – Suitable for all Audiences” are selected.

But I saw no option to upload or change Avatars.

How do I get to change my existing Avarar?

    Regards,
    Tafader

Did you set up a gravatar account?

You need to read that whole page…

Hey Yogi, I wanted my Avatar to show on my blog site, not here in the WP support forum! How can I get rid of it from the Forum member profile? I’d rather have comic image instead of my picture next to my Username “Tafader.” Can you help?

    Thanks.

Oops, well, Gravatars connect by email address, so you’ll have to use a different email address for your user account here to change that. You can change it under your profile – top right corner of the screen – click on that and then click on Edit – and change your email to another one. I’m not sure if that will change right away though – it might not update/sync right away.

I’ve changed the e-mail address in my Forum profile. I suspect I’ll have to wait some time to see the picture disappear.

    Thanks.

    Hello WPyogi,

It looks like I did it. Thanks again for the tips. You can close the thread now.
