Changing Body Colour

Hi folks,
I hope all have had a good week wherever you are.
Could someone tell me how to change the colour of the body on my WordPress from white to a lighter shade of khaki, like #e7dbe or #c3af91 to match the current darker shade of khaki?
Do I do this through custom CSS? If so could someone give me a snippet and tell me where it goes. I’m still relatively new to all this.

Ah, yes. Please be advised that due to the number of attempted hacks on my website from certain countries a geo-blocker has been installed and a redirection link inserted.
