• So we have ithemes security set up on our blogs, & we are using the “hide backend” feature.

We’ve now come to learn, that we can’t change the e-mail in the general settings, because it requires a confirmation e-mail link & when I click on it, it goes to the not found URL.

    Can you fix please?

    Thanks

  • This is not a bug. Make sure to use the same browser that holds the Hide Backend cookie (which expires in 1 hour) to open the confirmation link.
So after an hour it still won’t work …

The above is just my opinion and not iThemes.

Oh just for the record, a site admin email address change confirmation link looks like this:

    http://www.example.com/wp-admin/options.php?adminhash=md5_hash

where md5_hash is substituted with a unique 32-character hexadecimal number.
