Changing email to html does nothing

    I changed emails to html but emails show as one long block of text with no new lines as shown in the email editor:

    “Hey {aff_first_name}, Thank you for registering for our affiliate program. We are currently reviewing your account and will get back to you soon. When your registration is processed, we will inform you via email. Please keep an eye on your inbox for more updates from our team. Warm regards, {blogname}”

    First name and blogname weren’t auto-populated either.

    ok I used pure html in the email and it’s working as intended. the email tags im unsure if they will work so i’ll avoid using them as much a possible
