Changing font on sub menu

    Hi

    Trying to find out how to change the font in the sub menu.

    Looked everywhere but im stumped!

    Added WP Google Fonts as suggested in one post, but the “basic” fonts i wanted weren’t listed?!?

    In short all i want to do is change the font of the menu and sub menu to match the body fonts……font-family: Georgia, serif;
    Any help would be appreciated.

    The fonts listed in WP Google fonts are only Google’s Web fonts found here: https://www.google.com/fonts. To change the menu fonts, add this to your style.css file – hopefully you’re using the supplied child theme.

    .main-navigation li {
font-family: Georgia, serif;
}

    That should cover the list items for the sub-menus as well.

    Thanks for the help.

    To clarify, for anyone else who wants to change………..

    Main Navigation Menu – Which was located in the theme’s css folder in the menu.css file at line 33

    Submenu – Which was located in the theme’s css folder in the menu.css file at line 74

    Just replace font family with that of your choice 🙂

    Hi PeteFF,
    I know the theme author will echo this but, you really should not edit directly the theme’s css files – style.css and menu.css – but use the supplied child theme’s style.css file. The styles in the child theme’s stylesheet will override those of the parent theme. Any changes made to the parent theme will be overwritten with the next theme update.

    This is true, however these changes, to the best of my knowledge can not be made via the child theme.

    If i am wrong , im sure the guys at styledthemes, will correct me and give a better solution, but after a days searching i have found none.

    A day late, but here is how you would do it:

    .sub-menu li {
  font-family: georgia, serif;
}

    You can do these changes from a child theme or from a plugin that lets you create or edit CSS.
