    Hi all,

I managed to add some text to the theme footer but now I would like to remove it and I can’t find it anywhere! I have searched all of the .php files without any luck.

I added the Copyright 2016 and I would like to remove it.

    Thanks in advance.

  • In the backend open Appearance\Editor, look for footer.php, find string and replace it. The file would be located in your theme’s folder as well.

I’ve searched there and the text isn’t there strangely enough.

I’m really scratching my head on this one.

Maybe your theme offers a footer widget. Have you tried Appearance\Widgets yet?

Yes I have looked everywhere, it’s driving me crazy 😛

I can’t remember how I put it in there lol

I have downloaded a full backup of my site and loaded every single .php file into notepad++ and searched with 0 results, the mind boggles.

I have also downloaded the original theme and done the same with “OnePress theme by FameThemes” and it can’t find that text either.
