Changing General Email Address

    How do I turn off the feature that requires me to authenticate the new general email address? This is not needed. In fact all you’ve done is make me have to jump through hoops to update this in the database. This should be an OPTION and NOT a requirement!

    If you mean the email address on the General Settings page… there is no real way to do this. It is for security that it is required. WordPress generates a number of different emails that go to the address in that field because the original admin account can be deleted when there is more than one account on a site.

    Hopefully that makes sense.
