I have changed replaced the word “job” in the wp-job-manager.pot file in many strings as has been instructed in a previous post and have read over the translation support on the plugin site but am still not able to figure out how to replace the % symbol with another word “project” in my case. I am wanting the search (and almost everywhere) to say showing all projects or showing “search criteria” projects.

You don’t change the %, you change the replacement. So just translate the instances of ‘job’ in the POT file.

Mike, I am confused I changed all instances of jobs in the pot file and re-uploaded and the search results still say “Showing all Jobs” do I need to delete the plugin do this and reinstall?

Are you sure you’re generating po and mo files after translating? If so, send the po.

Some of the strings have been translated wrongly. Changed the source and not the translation:
