Hi there,

So I have woopayments enabled on my woocommerce site and it just got my attention that I linked my woopayments accounts with the wrong wordpress.com account which I would now like to change.

The issue is that I have some balance that has to be moved to available funds before I can get a payout , I assume that if I changed the wordpress.com account now it can cause issues with those funds.

Could you confirm if I can change the wordpress.com account linked with my woopayments and whether I should do it when my balance is null or not?

Hi there!

Your pending balance and payouts are managed by Stripe Express, not directly by the WordPress.com account connection.

Since reconnecting WooPayments maintains the link to the same Stripe Express account, your funds should remain secure and associated with your store, as explain here https://woocommerce.com/document/woopayments/our-policies/connection/#changing-the-account-you’re-connected-to

However, for further confirmation and a smooth transition, I would suggest you create a support ticket with us here. Woo.com > My Account > Support. You may need to create an account before you can access that page.
