Hi, I just recently was told I needed to change my Permalink from Default to anything else in order to get paypal working. I changed my Permalink setting to “post”, however now all my pages except for the home page show up as a “page not found”…. I believe I may have to change something in my .htaccess? I was hoping you could let me know if this is correct and if it is, do I just go into my root folder and replace whatever was in the .htaccess folder with the new code that was generated at the bottom of my permalinks page? Im fairly confused as to why most of my pages do not show up anymore, Any way you can help me with this is much appreciated! thanks.

    Nick J.

I thought WordPress would automatically update your .htaccess. If it cannot, it will tell you how to modify the file.

I think the safest thing to do is to go back to the default, save it, and come back and select the option you want. This time, make the modifications to the .htaccess file as WP tells you.

Note that if you have any page caching plugins, you will have to empty cache after the change. You may have to empty your browser cache as well.
