Hi @eversir ,
Thanks for your question. With the current version of our plugin, we do not have this kind of action on Product Timer. We only have Set In stock or Out of Stock action.
I’ll write a note to our developers to give them a suggestion of features for the coming updates. Hopefully, our developers will consider adding such feature in the next updates.
Best regards.
Hi @eversir ,
Our developers have replied that the action of changing stock count is very complicated. This can be achieved with some code customization, but in a version only for your site. However, this is temporarily unable to be added to the official features of our plugin.
If you’re using the Premium version of Product Timer, you can kindly contact our developers via this page to request a plugin customization service to achieve that action.
Best regards.
Hi, thank you for the quick reply.
If you can work on an update to change stock count, will happily start buying premium licenses for use on my client’s websites =]
Love the plugin, but needs the above functionality for chargeable licenses in my view.
Let me explain that a little bit further: if you’re including the ability to bring a product online or offline at a set time, quite often you’re going to have limits on the available stock you want to sell. Very few of my clients will have unlimited stock, unless they are selling digital products.
This limits the product quite severely if you’re a business selling physical stock!
Hi @eversir,
Thanks for your explanations. The act of setting products from In Stock to Out of Stock and vice versa is easier to be achieved than changing the stock counts. This is because while executing the stock change, any purchase from customers during this period might cause errors so we must be very careful.
Possibly, in order to create such customized version of Product Timers, there might need serious discussions and exchanges between you and our developers. For more information, you can ask and make request specific features/ functionalities via our Support Forum.
Since this is a forum for supporting free plugins, it’s not suitable for discussing Premium version here.
Feel free to contact our developers at any time you have further questions.
Best regards.
Taking it into stock would be the main thing I think.
So product out of stock until ‘x’ date.
Then set to in stock of say ’40’ until ‘y’ date.
Then set to out of stock.
For the vast majority of those selling physical products, that’s going to cover most typical use cases in reality.
Thanks!
