Hey! How do you change the text in the Facebook button? It’s easy to do so in Twitter, but how does it work for Facebook? It’s not pulling the meta description from the page it’s embedded on.

    Hey @sukilee

I am not sure I understand the problem. Here’s what I am seeing when I try to share from speakout.123host.net.au

Are you saying that rather than the message of the petition you want to show the meta data or content or something of the actual page the petition is embedded on?

It’s the Facebook share text like https://gyazo.com/28e2b1a2dd3ed95d7f2503074add423a. It pulls the Facebook share text from old text that was in an Excerpt field that’s since been updated. Sometimes the Facebook share text is pulled from the home page’s Excerpt, but not as much. Thanks.

Sorry, but how Facebook gets that excerpt is a mystery to me.

In an ideal situation, what would you like displayed as the excerpt?

    Nothing heard 🙁

Thanks for your help! It looks like the Facebook excerpt was finally updated, so all is well.

In terms of your widget, is there any way to make the Street, City, Province and Postal Code fields required?

    Thanks again!

THose fields aren’t required at the moment. I will look at adding that as an option.

    Thanks for the suggestion

That would be great. Thank you! This petition is going to a municipality, and they require all that information to be completed. So if we don’t capture the full address with postal code, the signature doesn’t count.
