Changing the Date format

I have a blog located here: http://amicustutoring.com/wordpressblog/

I would like to change the date formatting from “Decebmer 16th, 2009” to “December 16, 2009”. I do not want “th” or “st” or “rd” to appear after the number in the date. Is that possible?
