Changing the menu style?

Hi,
I’m trying to change the menu style of http://www.strengthsociety.com into something similar to http://www.simplyshredded.com. How would I go about doing so?

Basically I’d like the change the font, remove the dividers, and create some sort of highlight when the mouse hovers.
