Changing website domain

    Hi
    So recently, the web hosting expired for a website I run for a community service organization. Our owner is looking to make a new domain name. I am wondering if there is anyway for me to get the information off of my old website so I don’t have to start completely new with this new domain.

    1) Install new wordpress site in your hosting account.

    2) Then copy from old-wordpress “wp-config.php” file to the new-wordpress installation.

    3) Use PhpBYAdmin, go the old-wordpress tables – WP-options, change the website URL and SITE URL to new one.

    this should work.

    I’m new to wordpress, but started learning wordpress internals…
