    Are you sure, that character coding is not problem? Once I wrote a PHP script which changed data directly in databes like your plugin, but it put some non-visible characters also. I do not understand why. What kind of sanitize and character codin function do you have in the plugin?

    I have no changes, no filters for s/r function. Only the wp core functions stripslashes_deep and esc_sql for sanitize input. The search,replace is a default form mysql.
