& character error

Hi,
I love this plugin but I have a small issue with it.

Categories or tags which have this & character within the name is breaking the twitter hashtag.
A category named F&A will create a hashtag in twitter as #Famp;A
Where only the #F is active link.

Do you know how to fix this?
