Character Index Does Not Filter

    Hi Steven,

    Our Intranet site has come across an issue sometime recently where the character index no longer functions as expected. When a character index link is clicked, it simply reloads the page, without filtering anything. This happens both when the block is used, or when shortcode is used. Any ideas?

    What is your WordPress Permalink structure?

    Permalink for the page is intranet.our-domain.com/index.php/corporate-information/directory/

    Hovering over a character index link does reveal that it’s trying to go to “…char/p” (or whichever letter I’m hovering over), but it redirects to the same full, unfiltered directory.

    Please navigate to the WordPress permalinks admin page and remove index.php from the permalink structure. That will correct the issue as well as result in more user-friendly URLs.

    That worked! I’m not sure why index.php was added… I wonder if it was causing any issues elsewhere on the site…
