Hello @ninablue
Thank you for your message. It is very likely that something is block chat’s connection to your server. It may be a security plugin or a server configuration. Please read more about it here:

It is about Wise Chat Pro, but in this part they are the same.
Best regards

Hello @marcinlawrowski ,
Thank you for your answer. I just did a brief plugin analysis and temporarily deactivated the following plugins and deleted cache.
- Borlabs Cookie
- Autopimize
These seemed to be the most suspicious ones to potentially interfere with Wise Chat. However, the error was still the same. I read the article you posted and I want to point out that I receive HTTP 400 which means “Bad request”. So, it’s unlikely to be a permission issue as implied in the post.
Also worth mentioning that Wise chat has worked on the same site with the same theme and plugins in the past. What else could be the cause for the HTTP 400 errors?
Thank you and best
Nadine

Hello @ninablue
It may be also caused by the server configuration which blocks any attempt of accessing PHP file under /wp-content/plugins directory.
It is hard to tell from just the status code.
