Chat will not appear

I cannot get the chatroom to open anywhere after activation.

Hi there,
Once you activate the plugin, you should get a new page in the group management options for the chatroom, you can check it’s enabled there. Then the Chat tab should appear within the groups top level menu.

There is nothing to click on for Group chatroom
. Nothing in my dashboard has changed.I think you should try turning WP_DEBUG on and see if you get any errors while navigating around a group
What type of wordpress install are you running?
I do not have access at all. I have a security set up and firewall on my page that may be blocking this plug in; however, it is activated and installed.
I have tried everything. It is there in Plugins and activated, however it will not show up anywhere on my site. UGHHH….I have had to put major protection on my site due to traffic and hackers. So it may be blocking all attempts to add this.
Seems very strange, wish I could help further but that’s difficult without an error to trace.
I just installed this and am getting the same result. No Chat anywhere?
Where is it supposed to show up?? Only in Groups area? Maybe I have a Group issue,
As user I can see my groups https://holosports.pro/members/USERNAME/groups/
But can not get any further than seeing the list, I can leave a group but nothing else from this point. I suspect the Chat is inside the Group option but I do not have ability to get into a group further.
I have recently installed BuddyPress on this test site so its a simple installation at this point. Any ideas??In backend…

This is a chance to be a RockStar and help me solve this or it could be a moment where I owe the BP community a bad review on this plugin.Unlike the other person in the thread I have full admin rights. My security is not that crazy yet as we are in Dev mode.
I’ve just installed OceanWP and am runnning with the same wp and bp versions as you, and it works, so this must be a plugin conflict I would have thought, did you try deactivating the other plugins to see if that fixes it?
I am the Owner and have full admin….I have found another plug in that works and have it running. Thank you.

So for debugging this there’s two treads – 1) are there any error messages – turn n WP DEBUG and see if there;s any errors, also try installing Query Monitor, this can sometimes show errors the DEBUG does not capture.
2) Potential plugin conflict – bring the install down to just BP and the Chatroom – see if that fixes it, if it does, reintroduce the other plugins until the error comes back.
If we can track down the conflict I should be able to fix it.Thanks again Venutius for your help and support.
OK, Thanks. Plugin conflict is always a place to start. Was hoping you knew of a few conflicts.
