ChatGPT plus requirement

    When choosing the ChatGPT model, the text states “If you want to use gpt-4o, you must subscribe to chatgpt plus.”

    Can you explain why? The API counts against the tokens of the paid balance. I can´t see where the ChatGPT plus subscription comes in.
