    Hi Thomas,

There are 3 options for a widget block:

    – Unfixed widget
    – Fix widget
    – Stop widget

When I check “fix widget” and then save, the widget usually gets fixed. However, when I revisit the options, the widget still shows us “Unfixed widget”. I assume that’s a bug as it makes it impossible to know if a widget has been fixed or not without actually testing the widget.

One more question: What is supposed to happen when I choose “Stop widget”?

    Cheers,
    Ivo

    Hey Ivo,

    thanks for your message.

I just tested the behavior regarding the “Fix widget” option on my test site and it is selected also after I reload the page.

I have seen the issue you described a couple of times during development and it was always connected to some JavaScript error.

Please check this manual about how to identify JavaScript errors in your browser. Is there any red message coming up in the dev tools on the Widget screen?

    > What is supposed to happen when I choose “Stop widget”?

The stop widget option allows you to define a widget that pushes a fixed widget up. It only makes sense if you have a fixed widget defined above the stop widget.

Please see the first animation in the Fixed Widget manual. I hope it makes it more clear.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Hi Thomas,

The issue was caused by some legacy Advanced Ads widgets. Actually the AdSense code of these legacy widgets caused JavaScript errors. I deleted them and created new block-type Advanced Ads widgets and now the issue is gone. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.

Also thanks for making me understand the stop widget option.

I still have some issues, but I will open a new thread for them, if your help is needed.

Thanks for the great plugin and your kind support.

    Ivo
