    Hello,

I’m in the process of making my new website GDPR compliant and I added a section to allow embeds from 3rd party sites to load. Is there a way to check if the user has allowed a certain cookie category? Example: If a user has allowed ‘Functional’ then it loads JS files when a webpage is loaded, not when a user consents.

    Thanks.

    Hi @openbayou,

    Greetings from Webtoffee!

In our free edition, there is no option for consent reports. Only the consent report allows you to view a user’s consent status.

You must add the script through our plugin category in order to block scripts in the free version. Go to GDPR Cookie Consent > Cookie Category > Analytics > Edit, for instance, if you have an analytics script. On the following page, there is a script section. Instead of adding them to your website’s source code, copy the script there. As a result, the script will only be able to execute when the user grants permission for the Analytics category.

To enable the cookie settings button on the banner, add the shortcode [cookie_settings] to GDPR Cookie Consent > Settings > Customise Cookie Bar > Message box.`
