Hi,
This issue might be caused by a compatibility issue with either the theme that you are using or any other plugin that you have activated on your site.
Try and change the theme to Storefront which is the theme our plugins are tested for and see if that helps. If that does not help try and deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce and see if the issue is solved. If so, activate all plugins again one by one to see what plugin might be causing the checkout to be slow.
I suggest that you try this in a staging environment of your site to make sure not to effect your live site and customers. You can read more about staging environments here.
Thanks for your quick reply. Changing the Theme to Storefront worked. Does that mean I cannot use my current theme? Or is there a way to fix this?

Since Storefront is the only theme that we have built/tested support for we can not guarantee that the plugin will work with other themes. It seems like the theme you are currently using is not compatible with our Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce plugin and unfortunately we are not able to help you investigate in more details why it is not compatible.
