Thanks for the theme. I’m just now learning, so forgive me if mine is really an elementary problem.

I’ve created a child theme for my decode theme, and it is able to be activated, and my custom menu shows up so I know it’s pulling info from the parent theme. However, the image associated with the parent theme does not show up when the child theme is activated.

If I reactivate the parent theme, there it is…

    Thanks in advance.

    Matt

  • What image are you referring to? Can you post a link to the page with the missing image?

    Thanks….
I’m referring to the image I uploaded for the favicon as per the option on the customization menu.

On the parent site the image shows up on the page above my header.

    Thanks!!

I see it on your site right now (4:26 pm, Mountain time). Did you get it sorted out?

No but thanks. You are likely seeing the parent site. I keep going back and forth. I guess the custom header info doesn’t transfer to the child theme??

Now working on inserting a widget from a third party for flu shot scheduling site. I’m on to different fits!

    Thanks for looking

Right. WordPress considers the child theme to be a separate theme from the parent, so you’ll probably need to reapply your custom header settings the same way you did when you set up the parent theme.
