Child Theme

    Hi there,

    I’m loving the them and it’s simplicity, but I’m having some trouble personalizing the site. I am operating under a child theme, but no changes I make are accepted (mostly color changes at this point). Is their a reason the css is not recognized?

    Why don’t you include a link to your site. This problem could be many things… child theme not set up properly or styles not overriding other styles, etc.

    The site I am setting up is http://www.hopeschaefer.com

    I just created a new child theme with a different plugin (first I used Child Theme Configurator, and I just tried the Child Theme Wizard). It didn’t seem to be successful either.

    I don’t see a child theme style sheet loading.

    Try doing it without plugins. If you can access the site thru ftp, it’s really not that hard.

    For some reason I’m still having trouble getting it to change. I even tried editing the parent file (since it’s just one color change). The theme still didn’t change on my site.

    Is there anything else I can do? all I want is for the orange to be navy.
