I’m using the Twenty Twenty Five theme and wanted to create a child theme, but nothing gets copied into the child theme when I activate it.

Now I just have the option to configure it or is this not possible in a development environment like WP Local?

Have I done or understood something fundamental wrong?

    Thank you Klaus Wilde

    Klaus,

When you initial configure a child theme, the child theme configurator does not copy anything into the child theme (except for the screenshot). It creates a single style.css and functions.php file.

It was not designed for block themes like twenty-twenty-five. WordPress has outgrown the CTC.
