Child Theme CSS

Hi there,

Hope someone can help with setting up a child theme. This is the first time I’m using WordPress and after reading the instructions on WordPress Codex I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I’ve created and activated a child theme based on Virtue (free version) but the styles from my style.css file are being ignored. What exactly do I need to put into the functions.php file in my child theme folder if the parent theme is using several CSS files instead of one?
