    The Download Version 1.0.4. button on
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/child-themify/ didn’t work for me. I could download it but couldn’t install at the WordPress dashboard. It had the following error message:

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.
    ———
    After I attempted many times, I found that this link,
    http://themesandco.com/extension/customizr-child-theme/, worked. If you have to enter your email address and name at the checkout (This particular child theme is free. Therefore, the amount is $0.) Then, you are on the right track.
